About¶
Howdy!! I am Scott Moulton with my service pup Natalia. I am employed as an “Experiential Education Facilitator” for Charlotte Latin, a K-12 Independent School in Charlotte, North Carolina USA. Most of the time my work is outside, in the forest (with no technology) utilizing a low and high challenge course (aka ropes course). The goal has been to provide students unusual opportunties to problem solve and reflect as a group on their success (or not) and transfer those learnings to real world situations.
Fab Lab experience¶
Almost zilch!! ACK!! Only in the past few months have I been learning to use the schools 3D printers, Fusion 360, improve on soldering techniques and exploring what a 555 chip is. There is a LOT to learn however am looking forward to tackling FAB Academy with my AWESOME colleagues and students!! Why am I doing this? Some days I am not even sure myself. Other days is because I am often challenging my two kids and students to step up their game, challenge themselves and push themselves to learning more vs getting stagnet and boring. I have also always been facinated with what FAB Lab has to offer so now time to put my words into action for myself.
