Do you want to know about me?

Héctor Flores Aparicio

Hello,

my name is Héctor Flores Aparicio. I am from Spain. I born in Valladolid but actually I live in Cartagena. Cartagena is a city in the region of Murcia, in the south of Spain. I like this city because it has beach, sea-port, a lot of monuments since Roman Empire, Modernism buildings and natural areas as the Regional Park of Calblanque. Also the submarine was made in this city, whose father, Isaac Peral born in Cartagena too. The Isaac Peral´s house is still preserved.

Actually I am working in the UPCT (Technical University of Cartagena [UPCT, Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena]) as technical staff, in the SEDIC (Industrial Design and Scientif Calculation Service), it is a section inside of Department SAIT (Support Service of Technological Research). This service are located in the I+D+I building of the UPCT.

Within these central research services, there is also a Fablab. SEDI-CUp-ct, which will soon have a new building for its own use.

My contribution to Fablab, SEDI-CUP-CT is to give technical support to the different users. I have also collaborated in the start-up together with my instructors Lola Ojados and Álvaro Macián, responsible for Fablab.

My motivation for taking the FabAcademy, in addition to learning new things and improving as a person, is to be able to acquire knowledge to be able to transmit it to other users of our Fablab and our university community. In addition to using them for the realization and collaboration of educational workshops and developing new projects that help the development of the SEDI-CUP-CT.

In short!!: I hope to learn new skills with this training and enjoy the experience. I'm ready to start !!

My principal skills are:

I usually apply these skills to make new parts or reverse engineer. All this in the fields of research, heritage conservation or to provide service to private engineering and manufacturing companies.
