20. Project development

What tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

I have completed some tasks for my final project and have many things that are designed but not created yet. The parts that I need in my final project are: The body of the Twitch drone (designed, but not printed) The board which will control the drone (designed, milled, stuffed, but having issues) The interface + code (have code to control certain aspects such as the motors, but need to assemble a final product) The camera (need to find a way to get live feed of camera integrated into the interface)

What’s working? What’s not?

As of right now, everything that I have designed for my project works, including the bits of code I have produced, my boards, my mold and cast, and my bits of interfacing. The thing that is not working for me is my modified Satshakit that I have to figure out what the problem is. It was working earlier, but I believe that there are bits of copper in between the traces that are short the connections sometimes, so I will have to get that resolved as soon as possible.

What questions need to be resolved?

Although there are a few questions here and there that need to be resolved, I believe that the biggest question that I have as of right now How will I implement my live feed into processing?

What will happen when?

Down below is a Gantt chart which shows how I plan to spend my time:

What have you learned?

I have learned a lot during this final project building stage, such as things that I expected to go easily not going according to plan will happen. One thing that helped with this that I also learned about is a Gantt chart that I made above, as it really helped me to plan out my time in an efficient manner, and it is definitely a useful tool that I will use later on in my life.
