Lesson 2
What Neil was talking about:
- Video-Conferencing
- The size of the website (somewhere around 100kb)
- Websites of people
- 2D design tools (raster and vector)
- 3D design tools (and simulation tools)
- Homework (design, model, animate... the final project)
Programs I used:
- SolidWorks 2013 student edition (3D modelling)
- Inkscape (2D vector design)
- Paint.NET (2D raster design)
- SketchUp (3D modelling)
- 123D design (3D modelling)
- Microsoft Paint (2D raster design)
- Pivot (stick-man style animate)
- Notepad++ (HTML programming)
A little bit about every program I used:
- SolidWorks: SolidWorks is a program for 3D modelling
- Inkscape: an Open-Source program for 2D vector design
- Paint.NET: a pretty-good Phtoshop equivalent for Windows systems only
- SketchUp: a pretty-good 3D modelling software for beginners or for demonstrations
- 123D Design: a 3D modelling software with an easy-to-use GUI. really nice for every purpose
- Microsoft Paint: a not really good raster image editing tool (I used it only for cropping photos).
- Pivot: a nice stickman-style animation software. Good for beginners and advanced users
- Notepad++: my favourite code editor for Windows. Can edit any type of file (even if it's not code)
What I done in every program (homework):
- Inkscape:
- Pivot:
- Notepad++:
- Paint.NET: GameBeex Logo
- Microsoft Paint: Screenshots edit
- SolidWorks
- 123D design
- SketchUp
