Wooden model
I decided to make a wooden model to practise with the laser-cutter. I chose the main character of the game "Minecraft" as my model because of his easy shape.

Unfortunatly the laser cut away more wood than I anticipated and this resulted in a very loose fitting model. The structure does keep itself intact but is very easily taken apart.
I designed the model in Adobe Illustrator.
Cardboard press-fit
This is just a simple press-fit model that I designed in Adobe Illustrator. There where no settings available for the type of cardboard I used so I had to figure them out on my own. Unfortunatly this meant a few trips to the kitchen to douse the smoldering cardboard.
