Week 19.
Invention and Intellectual property
I am designing a shadow box lantern inspired by the Tiger's Nest Mountain in Bhutan.
☑ Develope a Dissemination of your Final Project
☑ Possible Future application
Dissemination:
I think my project will be appreciated by people who have a connection to Bhutan and or a love for fine art.
I would potentially like to make a series of these shadow box lanterns of other iconic mountains and landscapes on them. These lanterns could be fine art collectibles I would be able to sell.
Based on my research looking though the best licencing for my invention/ artwork I found the creative commons site most helpful in undertanding what would work best for my creation.
Licensing: based on the license selection application on the Creative Commons website-
link to Creative Commons
Selected License: Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)
1. You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
2. NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
3. NoDerivatives- If you transform or build upon the material you may not distribute the modified material.
4. No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Future plans
I have made this project to see how I can combine digital and tech design with my artistic background.
I have created this lantern for my own use. But If there are others that would like to improve or work off of this, they can use my site to get help. I do not wish to make money off of this particular lantern, but may create more for an art series project for my senior art series project.
