Week 08 - Electronics Production
Group Assignment:
1.Establish PCB fabrication specifications suitable for lab conditions a. Tool selection (V-bit, etc.) b. Platform calibration (zero point) c. Parameter documentation: cutting depth (recommended 0.1mm – copper thickness), feed rate (recommended 15mm/s – to reduce the risk of tool breakage) d. Safety and environmental requirements: fume/dust control, safety goggles, etc. 2.Submit a designed board to a PCB manufacturer for fabrication a. Gerber files (including drilling layer), etc. b. Alternative methods (e.g., copper etching) may be used.
Individual Assignment:
1.Make your own development board a. Hardware selection b. Key parameters specified (I/O, I2C, etc.) c. Circuit design must follow standards (electrical rule check provided by CAD software can be used) 2.PCB milling and soldering a. Use CNC for milling; reference: https://link/ b. Soldering and assembly (use a multimeter frequently to check for shorts) c. Upload code to verify functionality 3.Document the process
