This is what I have so far:

Anti Vibration Screw spacers

Proceedings:

Lasercut on xxx using the RDWorks Thunderlaser software. Download project file

First, test for the intensity and speed. There was no real difference of the results, so I chose the fastest setting (70) and lowest intensity (40 on the felt, 20 for the wool felt). But, the actual part that got burned was the one I actually wanted to have. So, I started playing around with the sizes of the holes and tested on a screw. For the results see below.

Testing the size of the spacer; Down: Test results

Tests:

Videos that show the amount of vibrations on different surfaces:

Top row: felt; Middle row: wool felt; Bottom row left: Anti sound foam; Bottom row right: table

It is difficult to see the results in the videos. The vibrations are very audible though:

First: felt; Second: wood felt; Third: anti vibration foam; Fourth: table
