10. Molding and casting

This week assignment was to incorporate Molding and casting for the final project.

Research

  • A Fusion 360 project was created to make an M&M bowl for the final project. This will catch M&Ms as they are dispensed from the M&M Dispenser.

  • I made a solid box and subtracted the bowl from it, making a mold that I can use in casting.

  • I mixed DragonSkin in equal parts of A and B and add some color to it. The final volume was 1.009 x 10^5 cubic millimeters.

  • The mixture was then poured into the mold an left overnight.
