2D CAD: Designs for the Vinyl and Laser Cutters (Initial attempt)
I wanted to try using my own files (created from scratch), as well as downloading existing images and printing them.
For the Vinyl cutter, I created sketches using Inkscape. Here are what the sketches looked like:
For the Laser Cutter, I downloaded Lichtenstein's famous Sleeping Girl (which sold for $45 million, apparently). I imported the jpeg into Inkscape, and applied several filters that might make the image a little cleaner (though raster engraving with the laser cutter seems to be able to etch almost anything). Here is what the design file looked like:
