Welcome

Our entire lives revolve around energy. Food as a source of energy, to mobilize our bodies, is the first and most essential form of energy need. The second is an energy source for food preparation. Third is energy for lighting and appliances. Fourth is energy to facilitate movement. My goal through Fab Lab is to gain enough knowledge to create technologies that can push us towards sustainability and self-sufficiency in all forms of energy, and reverse the self destructive path that we are currently on globally.

About Me

As a businessman and researcher, my goals and aspirations are to aid as many people as possible in becoming self-sufficient, in a sustainable way. Self-sufficiency creates independence which in turn liberates the individual. This, in my view, is the only way to empower people. There is too much blame being tossed around and not enough solutions. Access to healthy, sustainably grown food, and access to renewable forms of energy, are vital components in the move towards self-sufficiency.

Final Project

My final project is to design an automated aquaponics system. Aquaponics is the intergration of aquaculture and hydroponics. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water without soil. Aquaculture is a method of farming aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, etc. Aquaponics is a sustainable food production system that combines aquaculture with hydroponics in a symbiotic environment.
