Computer aided Design

Krita

I started by redoing my rough draft drawing in Krita. It was interesting learning a new drawing software. Most of the tools worked similarly to other drafting programs I have used in the past. If you have used similar programs in the past. it's a little clunky but it works and is free. Here is my rough draft of my final.

Fusion 360

I have used Fusion 360 before and am pretty good at so I didn't have many problems here is my process

Step One - making a box and outlining the conveyor belt

Step Two - funnel and angle plane

I made the funnel by drawing the outline and then revolving it around a vertical line this makes the funnel. To get a plane on an angle I first made an offset plane, drew a line and then made a plane on an angle using that line as a reference.

Step Three - making the sorting

Using that plane made in the step above I created the thing to sort legos intt there bins

Blender

I tried blender. It's not intuitive but I was able to get the sensor part modeled. I don't like modeling in blender because of how clunky and non intuitive it was. The way that I made the shape is I created a rectangle and then put two cilenders in one suface and used anther rectangle to conect the two cylinders. giving me this shape.

After that I created the top by menipluating rectangles to create the shape.

Tinker Cad

I also modeled the camera part in a tinker cad. It was very intuitive but lacked the ability to actually cut things out with rilly limits the software capability. To design the shape I did the same process in TinkerCad as in blender.
