First proposal
As a first proposal for my final project, I decided to opt for one of my three ideas developed in the assigment:principles and practices. This idea is based on two lighting devices, front and rear, which serve for the cyclist to indicate all the actions that will be performed and also which also have proximity sensors to alert the user of the bicycle of the external dangers they can affect you This idea would be like the first spiral of the project.
If we follow the next spiral of the project, it would be another of the ideas shown in the first assignment, which is based on the incorporation of pollution sensors to the bicycle and through an app indicates the healthiest routes you can take in your usual trips.
And as a third spiral, it would be the electrification of the bicycle, adding to all the above, a wheel motor with a battery, a controller and several drive sensors for the whole system.
The three spirals are worked on a bicycle created by me through 3D printing in PLA and laser cutting in plywood, which I made for my thesis of industrial design engineering. This work can be seen below (it is written in Spanish, but I am working on its translation to be able to have it in English too): FabBike.
Due to the short time to develop the project and the complexity of it (I thought it would be simpler) I decided to only make part of the rear light of the bicycle together with the proximity laser sensors, the front light will become part of the first spiritual to continue the future work.
