Hi!

I am Oscar, and my purpose in this FabAcademy 2018th programme is to learn, understand and practice digital fabrication for several fields, like Design, Education, Communication and Branding. I am looking forward to seek for connecting with great fabricators around the world, in this cool network called Fab Labs!.

My academic background is Graphic, Advertising, Visual and Strategic Design. I am a Bachelor in Education with a major in Arts and Humanities, with a Master in Education and a Master in Advertising Communication. As a complement I studied Marketing and Branding.

As an Interdisciplinary Professional, I have 20 plus years of work for commercial and social brands. Driven by a passion to apply human centered design for tackling business and social challenges I had worked several communication, design and brand projects for the following companies: Ilaria International, Etna Batteries, Bosch Automotive and Power Tools, Suzuki, Deremate.com, Sonax Car Care, Technoserve Inc. (developing brands in Cajamarca for small business), 900 Bistro (USA), Volvo, Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, World Bank (Water and Sanitation Program, creating the brand MiBaño, Epson, IFC (International Finance Corporation, creating and designing several projects like Forgestion, Financial Valuation Tool, Municipio al Dia and Ayninakuy), Santillana, Crisol Libraries, Volkswagen, LACMA (Latin America and Caribbean Movers Association, Panama), Vende.pe! (Schibsted Media Group, Norway), Kanaflex (Brazil), ILO (International Labor Organization, a Design and Technology Platform and several products for the Regional Initiative), PNSR (Programa Nacional de Saneamiento Rural, a brand project), Canadian Embassy, Cofopri, Zensex, Arellano Marketing, NetPartners International, Visanet, Kärcher, among others.

I believe in Creativity + Design as special skills. I apply them to every project in order to succeed. Now I work at UCAL (University of Science and Arts of Latin America) as a VicePresident of Innovation and Dean in the Design Faculty, run my own Design Consulting Firm:

Finally my experience as Lecturer and Professor for higher education over 15 plus years gives me a sense of empathy among my students and their meaningful learning.
