4. Enclosure
4.1 2D Design
I designed a Glasses Shelf with Inkscape and use the Laser cutter to cut it.
4.2 2D Cutting
I use the laser cutter to cut the Glass Shelf. Wooden is used as the base plate.
4.3 3D Design
To create a 3D enclosure for the smart glasses kit, I started by measuring all the key components, including:
- Measured all components, including the PCB, speaker, camera, microphone, and screen.
Component | Width (mm) | Height (mm) | Depth (mm) | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Beam Splitter Prism | 11.0 | 11.0 | 30.0 | Used for optical projection |
SmartGlassesKit Board | 25.0 | 26.0 | 46.50 | Includes MCU, microphone, and connectors |
Display Module | 22.0 | 18.0 | 1.8 | LCD |
Key Features:
- Wall Thickness: 1mm (optimized for PLA/PETG printing)
- Mounting Points:
- 4× M2 threaded inserts for secure PCB mounting
4.3.1 Case
- Baisc Structure
- Thickness
- Hole
- Pad
4.3.2 Cover

4.4 3D Printing
I used a 3D printer to print the enclosure, using the PLA filament. The printing
