Dissemination Plan - Target Makers, Hikers, and Pilgrims

Open Source Repository:

Create an open-source repository on GitHub and GitLab to host the project files, including the hardware design files, PCB schematics, 3D models, firmware code, and documentation.

License the repository under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License to allow makers, hikers, and pilgrims to freely use, modify, and distribute the project for non-commercial purposes while providing proper attribution.

Include detailed instructions, diagrams, and documentation that cater to both makers and non-technical users, ensuring that the project is accessible to a wider audience.

Online Community Engagement:

Engage with maker communities, hiker forums and social media platforms that cater to both makers and those interested in the Way of Saint James pilgrimage.

Share updates, progress, and relevant information about the project regularly to generate interest and engage with potential users and contributors from both target groups.

Encourage users to share their experiences, modifications, and improvements within their respective communities, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Documentation and User Guides:

Prepare comprehensive documentation that caters to both makers and hikers/pilgrims, providing clear instructions on assembly, programming, and customization, while also highlighting the benefits and usage scenarios for hikers/pilgrims.

Emphasize the licensing terms, making it clear that the device is for non-commercial use only and must be properly attributed.
