6. Electronics design – Group Kuriyama

This is group assignment page of Computer-controlled cutting (Kuriyama Student) :

Group assignment

  • Use the test equipment in your lab to observe the operation of a microcontroller circuit board

What we’ve done this week

  • How to use a regulated power supply

  • How to Use a Multimeter

  • How to use an oscilloscope

How to use a regulated power supply

You can get a voltage (V) from this and check a current (A).

Turn on

Set the voltage and check the CV lamp is on (Green).

Make sure not touch the + and - cable.

Turn on the light of ATtiny1614!!

How to Use a Multimeter

Check the voltage.

Select the 9V icon. Because we want to check 5V. You can see DC on the left side.

Check the VCC and GND. You can see 5V on the monitor.

Continuity check is the icon as photos;

Press “Select” button couple time until showing alarm icon on the left corner.

You can hear the beeping when it’s connect.

How to use an oscilloscope

If you want to check waveforms whose voltage changes with time, you need to use an oscilloscope, not a multimeter.

Connect the probe to “PROBE COMP”

If the wave form is deformed, turn the screw until the proper square wave is shown.

Apply probe to the Rx point of serial communication to get the waveform

“hello” was confirmed by waveforms
