  • develop a plan for dissemination of your final project

Dissemination

Since motion tracking wands are a common feature in VR systems, I will not apply for any patents or copyright. In addition, I plan to open source my project under the Creative Commons License because I want share knowledge with others and allow them to derive my work for the better.

To further narrow down the type of Creative Commons license that I want to use, I used their Chooser Beta to recommend the appropriate license that suits my needs. I wanted other people to atrribute me in their derivates, so I used the Attribution feature. I didn’t want others to used my work for personal gain, so I specified the Noncommerical feature. I also wanted derivatives to have the same license in order to preserve the nature of the original project, so I used the ShareAlike feature.
