Welcome to my Fab Academy journey!

Aussie Flag I'm studying at FabLabUAE in Dubai but I've travelled all the way from FabLabWA in Perth, Western Australia.

Wendy Neale is my Instructor, from Fab Lab Wgtn in Wellington, New Zealand. The class here is - Abdulla, Bear, Carl, Darshan, Eidha, Salama, and Zahrah.

I'm 25 years old, enjoy long romantic walks on the beach and taking things apart to see how they work. 😂

Before the Fab life, I was a Lecturer in Applied Engineering. I studied a Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering at University of Western Australia. I have been building things for as long as I've known myself (perhaps that's not very long..) and inspired by 1996-2004 era Lego.

I've done a bunch of other random stuff too however - fought fires, recorded albums, founded startups, taught robotics classes to children and driven electric racecars. I love that I am surrounded with people with a passion for technology that still come from vastly diverse backgrounds!

Hopefully I will meet you at some point or other throughout the course this year!

Where I'm from:

So I have two homes at the moment -

FabLab UAE is the lab I am studying in, located just west of the Financial Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (close to the mall!!).

FabLab WA the first lab in Australia and is located in the Australian Marine Complex in Perth, Western Australia.

Proposal for Final Project:

My final project proposal is a Mini Power Plant.

The rationale is that I would like to exercise skills I haven't yet mastered. I have high levels in CAD, 3D printing, general machining and electronics assembly; skills I'd like to explore are CNC milling, circuit board design and fabrication, data acquisition and functional programming.
More to follow...

Sorry it's not the image editin, my writing is really that bad!
