The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) recommends:
- Wear nitrile gloves when handling uncured material.
- Avoid direct eye contact.
- Work in a well-ventilated area.
- Avoid ingestion.
- Wash hands after handling.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)¶
- Safety glasses
- Nitrile gloves
- Laboratory coat/apron
- Adequate ventilation
First Aid Measures¶
Skin Contact¶
Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
Eye Contact¶
Rinse with clean water for several minutes and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Inhalation¶
Move to fresh air if irritation occurs.
Storage¶
- Store in a cool dry place.
- Keep containers tightly sealed.
- Avoid excessive heat and moisture.
Observations During Use¶
RTV-820 was easy to mix and pour into the mold cavity. The material flowed well into small features and produced a flexible mold after curing. The cured mold released cast parts easily without damage.
