Computer-Controlled Machining
Children furniture
In this assignement, we developed the design and modeling of a modular children’s furniture piece using Rhinoceros software. The main objective was to generate a parametric model that enables its subsequent fabrication through CNC machining. During the process, we applied structural design criteria, child ergonomics, and material optimization, while also considering assembly systems that do not require screws. After completing the modeling phase, the design was prepared for fabrication using Vectric software, where machining parameters, toolpaths, and the arrangement of parts within the working board were configured.
