About me

Hi - I’m Ryan, and my life is kinda crazy.

I am a full-time Laboratory Manager and Instructor at Lorain County Community College’s Fab Lab, a freelance web and graphic designer, as well as a marketing-coordinator for a local non-profit. The first time I stepped into a fab lab was in 2014 when I was 18 years old and I fell in love. At that time I wasn’t sure how I would ever learn all that there was to offer, but I was up for the challenge.

Two years later in 2016 I began working at that exact lab as a part-time student worker and worked my way up to earn a position as a full-time employee in 2018. Since 2018, I have attended Fab 14 in France, as well as Fab 15 in Egypt, where I had the opportunity to demonstrate a workshop based around hieroglyphics and printmaking using digital fabrication techniques.

As for 2020, I am ready for my Fab Academy journey to begin.
