Design in Illustrator

I got quick sketch first then started the banner part. * Type the title and give it margin for joinery. I use the simple square joinery this time and finally unit the main object and the joinery.

• Seperate the logo and the bracket into two files, prepare to import laser cutting machine. 　

  

Laser cutting in fablab Tainan

• because the laser cutter in Fablab Tainan only 40W. After some testing, I deciede

• The dxf files as follows:

• Secure the board with the tape in the cutting platform.

• set the speed 35 / power 80 and upload to the machine

I use fablab taipei laser cutting machine to complete the final project

• Slots instead of using the M6 screw, I decide to produced with 6mm MDF.
• All the line width is set 0.025 pt.
• Print Preview in the Printer Setup, the black lines cutting parameters set:
  • Power: 100%
  • Speed: 5%
  • PPI: 1000
• Use the fuselage Z + / Z- buttons control the cutting platform height, so that calibration block recess just stuck next to the laser head
• Click laser control software navigation buttons, check cutting size is out of MDF size
• Start Cutting
