I have been held back by my inability to see the tiny components for soldering and working at the expected level of micro-electronics. My fear is that this would push back all the work I need to do. In an effort to keep up (or catch up) I have invested in an arduino uno system and have been using this to get back into programming.
It was quite a few years ago that I was teaching school pupils how to programme in mnemonics and hex with the 6502 chip so I fully realise that once I get back into this I should be able to follow the coding.
On a personal basis I cannot believe that the fablab basically has us doing what the Scottish Education system has decided is too old fashion and is leaving behind.
