05 3D Scanning and Printing
Background: My primary objective in attending the Fab Academy is to identify developmentally appropriate fab tools for a new charter school, the Newport County Steam Academy (Grades K-6 at the start, K-12 at the end), and for the existing Met School (Gr, 9-12)
The National Academies' STEM Workforce Development Framework will be used in acheieving my objective.
For the 3-D printing assignment I printed the sign holder that will go on top of the carousel (which is the centerpiece of the my demonstration project). The Sketchup rendering and a picture of the sign holder are provided below. Also provided is a sign for the Cabaret Mechatronic Theater that has to be re done since the lettering does not adhere to the sign base.
