How this project came to pass...

If you're curious about where this all began, you can check out initial sketches about my final project ideas on my Applications and Implications Week and progress can be seen on my Project Development page. I started out wanting to create furniture that interacted with people and while this isn't what I imagined as my end result, this is an iterative step in the right direction and I'm proud of it. In this project I maintain the essence of what I originally set out to do. Physical input from people which then outputs interesting reactions from every day objects and in this case furniture. This year was... unexpected and maybe not what most would consider as an ideal year to take the hardest class you've ever encountered... but because of the limiting factors and the randomness of it all... I needed to find more in myself to complete this... meaning if you had told me a year ago I would learn this much and from so many people and feel this empowered to take on technical work I've NEVER ever imagined myself being capable of doing... this was one of the most incredible life changing learning experiences. Now that I have a semi finished product, I plan on making my light chimneys and fully realizing the potential of my evolved ideas. But who knows? The possibilities are infinite when it comes to human interaction with colorful light... and in general, I now know how to navigate making **almost** anything ;)
