Assignment
Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project

The assignment of this week is focused on developing a plan for dissemination of the final project. In my case, the final project is developed in group with another Fab Academy student Covadonga Lorenzo, so we decide to develop a plan together.

As we are developing the final project in a Technological Institute (Madrid based CEU School of Architecture) our first aim is to spread to the students all the knowledge acquired in the program and this project will be a good oportunity. We expect to implement a FabLab in our campus in the near future and we are sure this will generate a multiplier effect.

Besides, we need our students can involve in the philosophy of the FabLab which encourages participation, collaboration, invention and believing that an idea can materialize. To that end we have developed some actions:

1. promote on the students the participation on the program. To that end we will upload the information about our project on the web page of the Institute of Technology and encourage faculty and students to participate in a competition among students where they should develop some building structures to be tested on the earthquake table.

2. share under a creative common licence our final project so that it can be modified by others (or by ourselves in the future) and improved for other applications.

3. use the tutorial that we are going to upload in the Fab Academy web page to teach students on how to develop this machine or any other project developed in the assignments of the program.

4. distribute the components of the machine and the instructions as a learning kit to other departments of the Institute of Technology (civil engineering, architecture, and so on) that will be interested in the machine for their own use.

5. use free marketing platform and a website hosted on one free blog provider to promote the project out of the Institute of Technology.
