ABOUT ME

Hi!, I’m from Peru, my name is Carlos Santillan, I’m a Computer Technician by profession. I currently work as a teacher and computer support at a technological institute in my city called “Perú Japón”.

SOMETHING MORE ABOUT ME

As I mentioned above, I am from Perú, I was born in a city called Chachapoyas, which is the capital of the department of Amazonas. The world of computing has always caught my attention, understanding how through computer resources we can improve the development of daily activities that are often difficult for us to carry out. That is why I decided to study a technical career oriented to computational environment issues; I finished my studies in 2014 at the same institute in which I currently work (Technological Institute of “Excellence Peru Japan”). Yes, by chance of life in 2015 I was invited to be part of the work team of this institution and that is how this 2022 they propose me to participate in the Fab Academy course, since soon in our institution a manufacturing laboratory will be implemented digital. So here I am, ready to learn and give my best in order to reach the final goal and belong to the great Fabers group.

WHAT IS THE FAB ACADEMY??

Fab Academy is an International Diploma in Digital Fabrication based on the popular Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) rapid prototyping course “How to Make (Almost) Anything”.

It is organized by the Fab Foundation and directed by the PhD. Neil Gershenfeld, Director of the Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA) at MIT.
