Week 18: Project Development
- Complete your final project, tracking your progress:
- What tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?
- What's working? what's not?
- What questions need to be resolved?
- What will happen when?
- What have you learned?
What tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?
- Task Completed
- Fabrication of two project board from esp32 - Milling of circuit board and soldering the components for project
- Connection of circuit and testing for the interface for people to cross road -Including the connection of input like ultrasonic and 7 segment.
- 3D printing for the poll parts to install sensors and leds for traffic -Still need to print few more
- Connection and testing for road users -For the road user, I just used led as traffic light to control the flow as per the requirement.
- Programming and testing for the whole system including the communication between the two boards that will be on the two sides of the road.
- CNC cutting of board for the road model
- Tasks Remains/Pending to complete
- 3D printing some remaining parts of the poll.
- Laser cut the box for controller and LED cover for road signal
- Road painting -it's half way from complete
- Packaging the whole project -Assembling and beautifying the project model
- Vinyl cut the Bhutan flag which I will install on the back side of the road signal as it is remaining idle.
What's working? what's not?
- Working
- Programming for the system worked with all inputs and outputs including communication well.
- CNC cutting of board for road model came out well
- Not working
- In short, everything worked as per my planning for the project.
- In random generation presenting Professor Neil suggested me to use capacitive plate instead of ultrasonic sensor. Due to time limitaion I couldn't check that.
What questions need to be resolved?
Functional parts will not be problem even if I need to scale up for the real field implimentation as I just require to use some bigger light instead of led for road signs.
Main question comes when in implimentation on how to integrate with traditional structure to preserve the beauty of town. One thing that my country rejects the traffic light is to preserve the natural beauty of the town.
What will happen when?
Sl.No | Task specification | Should be completed by (date) |

What have you learned?
- The whole project has been my new experience. Top list are:
- Programming of esp32 in arduino ide
- Communication and interfacing of esp boards
- Fabricating of the circuit boards
- 3D printing and designing as required.
- sensors and interfacing
