WEEK- 17

Project Development

This week is about Complete our Final Project and also the tracking progress, we have to give the answer of some Quetions designed by Fabacademy.

Task to be Perform for this week

-- To answer the following question and do the planning to complete the project.

Individual Assignment:

In this week of individual Assignment we have to work on final project complition planning like below.
1. Complete your final project, tracking your progress:
2. what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?
3. what has worked? what hasn’t?
4. what questions need to be resolved?
5. what will happen when?
6. what have you learned?

Learning outcomes

1. Implement project plan
2. Apply time management techniques
3. Summarise and communicate the essence of your project development

Q.1 What task have been completed and what task remain?

This week is about to work on final project first we need to find out what task has been completed and whats remain. I started working on my final project listed out which part is completed and which is not.

What task have been completed.

1. I have completed the designed and milling of board i.e as I am going to use Atmega328p microcontroller board for project it is completed.
2. Then I have completed the CAD modelling and the designed of the final project in solid works software.
3.As I am going to use PT 1000 Temperature sensor so need to calibrate this sensor and find out the calibration factor which is useful for measurment of accurate value of temperature so I have done the calibrations and find out the calibration factor and tested it in programming, now the PT100 sensor is able to give the proper reading.
4. For final project I have make an assembly stucture as per designed to mount the motor and testing with lpg stove for that I need to use plasama cutter, welding and griding for making the stucture So, I have completed this also.
5. I have completed designed milling and the stuffing of output board which is use to control the stepper motor for my final project.
6. Final Programming is Arduino IDE and tesing of the stepper motor which is able to control the LPG Stove knob precisely or not.
Designing of coulpling require to connect the stepper motor and knob of lpg stove.

What task have not been completed.

1. Frabications of final assembly for the final project.
2. Editing the final program as per requirement and objective of my final project.
3. Casing designed for the all accessories like LCD,stepper motor, temperature sensor which i am going to use for the project.
4. Final Packeging the box and connections.

Q.2. What has worked ? What hasn't?

Worked

1. Atmega328P Microcontroller Board working properly.
2. Output Board for the stepper motor driver working properly as per requirement.
3. Pt1000 temperature sensor gives the values of temperature as per need and range of temperature.

Not worked.

As I said I am going to use stepper motor for controlling the knob of LPG Stove,So When I have tested stepper motor is able to controlled the knob of lpg or not.
It is able controlled but while testing it is obseved the initial torque required to controlled the knob lpg stove is not getting sufficient by the stepper motor. its doesn't require the more rotation to increase and decrease the flame of lpg for getting the require temperature for edible oil.
so I thought stepper motor is not working properly and controlled because I have tested so many time and tried to controlled the flame of lpg also used different types and combination of coupler but its not working at all. and aslo the hoder I have designed for the stepper motor its not work properly with LPG knob due to the weight of stepper motor.
In this case I have discussed with the instructor and my colleagues and decided to use the servo motor Instead of stepper motor having the torque of 13.2 kg/cm and small in weight as compair to stepper motr

What questions need to be resolved?

I have to resolve the problems will comes with servo motor which is now I am going to use for the for controlling the knob of lpg stove and how to designed the coupler so that I can coupled the servo motor with knob properly.
Also need to resolve the issue which I was facing with stepper motor holder and proper placing, how should I have designed the holder for servo motor and where should I have place this so that it will controlled the knob of lpg stove properly as per requirement.

What will happen when?

1. Upto 4th june I will fixed the issue that I am facing with the placement of motor and the proper coupling required for the servo motor.
2. Upto 5th of june I will resolve all the issue that I am facing coupling and do the work of final programming as per my need.
3. Upto 8th of june I will complete all casing, packaging and final testing of final project.
4. Upto 9th june I will complete the preparations slide and video for the final presentations.
5. On 11th of june will present my final presentations.

What I have learnt.?

1. I have understood the designed, milling and stuffing of atmega328 Microcontroller Board using Srm-20 machine.
2. Then I have leaned how to program the atmega board with arduino IDE with required Board.
3. Then I have learnt the CAD designing software like FreeCad ,Solid works for designing the final project parts and assembly.
4. I have learnt about the how to calibrate PT1000 Temperature sensor and find out it's calibrations factor.
5. I have leant about the how we can controlled the knob of lpg stove with the help of stepper motor and servo motor and what are the problems occure while controlling it.
6. I have learnt about the coding for my final project in arduino IDE.
7. I have understood the final project packing, wiring and how to make a finished product.
