Bio¶
Iason Pantazis is a founding principal at Topotheque Design Research Studio and currently teaches at the Department of Architecture of the University of Ioannina. He holds a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in New York and prior to this he studied Architecture and Media in Delft, Weimar and Thessaloniki. His personal and collaborative work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Benaki Museum, the State Museum of Modern Art and the Byzantine Museum in Athens. He is director of the Digital Innovation Hub Fab Lab Ioannina and the founder of the manufacturing startup Lasercutter.gr.

Topotheque Design Research Studio is a contemporary design practice operating on the intersection of Architecture, Design, Arts and Science, featuring a fabrication facility and strong experience in digital technologies.Our holistic design approach extends across different scales and through multiple platforms, as we seek to redefine the relationship between design, technology and craft. By bridging the gap between conception and fabrication, we manage to fuse the experimental and the innovative with the practical and the pragmatic to achieve the outstanding. Fab Lab Ioannina¶
Fab Lab Ioannina is a digital innovation hub conceived to promote new methods and tools of designing and fabricating objects across different scales, providing stimulus for local entrepreneurship and social change. We foster educational models that promote Digital Fabrication and Design research in Architecture, Engineering and Applied Arts. Through workshops, seminars and lectures, we seek to explore design, production and communication.
