13. Applications and implications

This week’s agenda for Fab academy was :

  • To understand and decide the detailed breif of our final project

  • Material and cost estimation

  • process and steps to finish the final project

To do these goals I will repeat for this question

What will it do?

A weather station is a device that collects data related to the weather and environment using many different sensors.

Weather stations are also called weather centers, personal weather stations, professional weather stations, home weather station, weather forecaster and forecasters.

Those systems are about monitor climatic conditions.

They also bristle with sensors that can track local precipitation, wind, air pressure and even UV levels in real time.

This project has benefits, like Home improvement, personal safety, professional safety, ensure a safe environment, accurate readings, real-time Data, real-time alerts, share Data, precise forecasting and helps you in your home Maintenance.

Who’s done what beforehand?

I do a research on the systems equivalence of weather station I find a final project of fabacademy 2019 of Alberto Martinez

so I compare the two system so for the Alberto system he made the sensor and displays in the same box so for me it’s not the case I make the sensors separate between them and fix on a large support put outside

In the input i well use some senser dont using by the other project

In the output the Alberto system he made the Alberto system he made display but in my system i well use data collection application and display

I want to use solar energy

I choose these modification so that the system becomes more professtional will be sold for large companies

What will you design?

in this project i will design some senser

What materials and components will be used?

materials

i will use 3d print to do some part of senser so i will use PLA or ABS

the frame i will use some materials we can cut with cnc or laser cutter like aluminum or plexiglass

We have sensors for almost any weather parameter, including temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, barometric pressure, wind speed, cloud height,

Electronics i will use ATMega 328P like microcontroller and i will mil my own board

Where will come from?

the majority of materials are plastic base but there is normal plastic and plastic recycle

I also want to use metals like aluminum and copper for pcb cards
