As a final element of the loop in my final project I used to connect a Solenoid Valve as an output device but let's go back to have a look on my board pinout













We have one input ( micro Switch ) normally contact On/Off Continuosly, if contact close for 3s = Alarm, For 6s= Solenoid energized. Since the Solenoid valve rquired 24 VDC I used a relay which will close contacs of the 24 VDC terminals. when the command activates. The Solenoid Valve has a coil and when it is energized the magnetic field to be initiated and it will pull the piston of the valve which is acting on the orifice by spring force. See picture below










The relay is a switch that open and close the cricuits electromechanically or electronically. it is used to control another circuit which has more current. for example my Micro controller power supply is 5 V and the Solenoid valve required 24 V, in this case I used the relay by 5 Volt signal to control the 24 volt solenoid valve




You need to increase the sound to hear the SOV activation
