Electronics Production

Milling Process

So after I secured the Bakelite with double sided duct tape, I opened Fab Mods online and load the file.

I defined the x,y and z direction points like I explained in the group assignment and filled the settings area as well, then I click the option “calculate” and “send it” for machining.

Cutting Process

Once finished the milling process, I went through the same steps but this time cutting the outside area of the electronic board.

WELDING PROCESS

With the circuit board ready I went to the next step and started to sold the components to the board.I made some tests before working on my board.

programming

The final part of this assignment is board programming,it was done with a Linux machine. so I follow this tutorial

Acrylic Experience

I also tried doing the same circuit board but with the vynil cutter machine. So I drew the circuit on CorelDraw, then transferred to CutStudio, and tried different parameters until I found an useful one, which was
Speed: 1 m/s and Force: 60.

After the machine cutted the board design, I transferred the traces onto a piece of acrylic.

I solded all the components again and was going to add epoxy on the top of the board to make sure the traces don't lift while plugging and unplugging connectors but the traces broke before I could even try it, so I decide to make a necklace of it .
