05 - 3D Scanning and Printing
This week I fell in love with the 3D printer...
...or maybe it was the tiny-yet-slightly-creepy printed model I made of myself...
...or perhaps even the colorful printed jewelery that I now base my work wardrobe on.
The first things I printed were some rings and bracelets:
The next task - scan and print yourself!
First, I was scanned and got this model that I opend in Netfabb:
After removing the chair, there were some futher repairs that needed to be made, namely to the top of the head and under the chin where the scanner was missing data. I used Meshlab to fix the holes and smooth the surface out.
