  • Characterize your lasercutter's focus, power, speed, rate, kerf, and joint clearance

Individual assignment

  • Cut something on the vinylcutter

  • Design, lasercut, and document a parametric press-fit construction kit, accounting for the lasercutter kerf, which can be assembled in multiple ways, and for extra credit include elements that aren't flat.

  • Project idea: A window shade for my bathroom windows that comprises of semi-transparent vinyl cut in an artistic way to prevent people from easily seeing inside my bathroom from outside, but to still allow a lot of light in. I'm inspired by Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and MC Escher.
