Assignment 20 : Project Development



Only 11 days are remain for the final project presentation so now , time for the sort out what activities are remain.Where is project stands now.

°what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

At this stage of Fab academy for final project I am working as per Gantt chart ,only some part of documentation is remain.Till date I have completed my External metal frame and all the laser cutted acrylic covering.

3 d printed door handle is done & fingerprint mount's design is ready just need to 3 d print it.

ELectronic boards are milled and tested in Input ,ooutput device week only programming part is remaining

For key holding I don't decided yet how to hang the key,and how to connect it with limit switch.

°Time Management

For covering final project in time ,it is must to do proper plan.So when Fab adcademy was started in first week my final project idea was finalized.Then I made gantt chart and worked out accordingly.I completed my input ,output board while completing the assignment.SOme part like laser cutting ,mounting remained due to design this part I planned to covered in break week and wildcard week and now,when their is 10 days remains for final project presentation.

°what has worked? what hasn't?

Currently,all the other process like 3d print and laser cut are suceeded,I am not sure about electronic board because I tested input and output devices seperatly .Now time to connect both the master slave board toghether.

°what questions need to be resolved?

  • 1. Need to understand the master slave communication circuit and connections.
  • 2. Need to work on programming of the project.
  • 3. Need to do electronics packaging.
  • 4. Need to do proper design aspect

  • 1. I came to know about various 2D and 3D designing software.
  • 2. Workshop tools handling was very new for me.
  • 3. I came to know about various machines like laser cutter, 3D printer,etc.
  • 4. I came to know about hand saw operation and its maintenance etc.

    • Summary

    In this assignment I understand at what position I am right now in project completion?where I need to take more efforts, where still I am lacking in short I understand my project is going as per my planning or not.
