Fab Academy
Making ideas into living machines!
Let's beginJan-Jul 2026
FABLAB Peru
Jianfranco Bazan J.
I am a graduate in Mechatronics Engineering with a strong passion for digital fabrication, prototyping, and technological innovation. I currently work at the FABLAB of the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI), where I operate and manage digital manufacturing equipment such as 3D printers (FDM and resin), CNC router, laser cutter, and 3D scanner, supporting academic projects, research groups, and student prototyping.
I am also an active member of the research group IntecSostenible (Vicerrectorado de Investigación – UNI), where I participate in projects and technological competitions focused on digital fabrication, reverse engineering, and sustainable innovation. Through this work, I have contributed to initiatives related to 3D scanning of objects, digital restoration, additive manufacturing, and design for social and cultural impact.
My interests lie in intelligent manufacturing systems, robotics, digital product development, and applied artificial intelligence. Fab Academy represents for me an opportunity to integrate electronics, programming, mechanical design, and digital fabrication into real functional systems, transforming ideas into tangible solutions with real-world impact.
I am motivated by learning, experimentation, and collaboration, and I aim to use technology not only to create, but also to solve problems and empower communities through innovation
Final Project
My final project will integrate digital fabrication, electronics, and programming to create a functional prototype that solves a real-world problem.
This project represents everything I have learned during Fab Academy: design, iteration, testing, documentation, and version control.
