Esteban M. Valladares

A brief look into who I am and how I think through making.

Hello, my name is Esteban M. Valladares. I am from Callao, Lima, Peru. I recently completed my studies in Architecture, where my main interests have been parametric design and computational approaches as tools to explore multiple architectural possibilities through logic and calculation.

In parallel, my involvement with Fab Lab Perú and the REGEN project has deeply shaped my way of thinking. Through collaborative work, I have participated in the development of the REGENERATIVE ARCHITECTURE project where technology and ancestral knowledge work together as complementary forces. This approach places the territory and the Amazon rainforest as active and decisive agents in the design process, understanding the environment not as a background, but as a living system that informs architectural decisions.

Why Fab Academy?

Fab Academy represents an opportunity to translate architectural and regenerative ideas into real, buildable systems. I see the program as a space to connect design thinking, digital fabrication, and technology through hands-on experimentation, allowing me to understand architecture not only as a concept, but as something that can be fabricated, tested, and iterated.

What do you want to learn?

I want to learn how to design and prototype architectural components using digital fabrication, electronics, and computational tools. My goal is to better understand how geometry, materials, and technology can work together to create adaptive, regenerative, and context-aware architectural systems.
