About me

Hi! My name is Tomi Nieminen, origins in Helsinki Finland.

I'm a widely curious life-long learner and a natural systems thinker passionate for development. I enjoy solving problems and exploring better ways to think about things. I find meaning in life from learning, nature, travelling, yoga and especially from my awesome 2-year old daughter.

Currently, I'm a last year student at Aalto University majoring in IDBM, a master's program that "integrates business, design and technology to enable students to lead interdisciplinary creativity". Also, I have Bachelor's and nearly finished Master's degree in Adult education at University of Helsinki and about a half of Bachelor's in Computer Science.

My academic research revolves around reflexivity and team learning, entrepreneurship and product development, and I'm thinking about expanding the context towards Fab Labs and emphasize learning more. That said, I'm quite a beginner for what comes to digital fabrication, but I'm really excited about it and learn fast! I can't wait to have all the fab skills to explore possibilities and create things.
