About me

Hi! My name is Gillian. I am a student at Wheaton College MA majoring computer science and minoring in design. I like most anything outer space or nature themed so don't be suprised if that shows up in my work. Outside of school, I enjoy playing board & video games and baking. I'm excited to learn a lot this semester!

Previous work

I have at least a little bit of experience in a lot of the topics covered in this class. Last semester, I took an introducton to digital fabrication course. This gave me a bit of experience with 3D design, 3D printing, laser cutting, and electronics. As for programming, I have varying levels of experience with C, C++, CSS & HTML, and Python. On the art side of things, I have a little bit of experience with photography and graphic design.

Board Game Model

A small model that includes 3D printed houses and a hummingbird on a laser cut base.

Before this course, I took an intro to digital fabrication course. For my final project in that class, I made a little model of a scene from the board game Spirit Island. I made all of models and designs except for the hummingbird, which is a model by TinkerTesla on Tinkercad. Everything is either 3D printed or laser cut.
