My Final Project example
Currently, I have these projects in mind, however, I'm still thinking about ideas that could improve these, or some that I have in mind but haven't fully developed the idea. Throughout the weeks with my local advisor, we will review what I could improve to have a good project that can help and/or benefit people's lives
- First project: Voice Recognition Locker System -
The purpose of this project will be or could work for universities, gyms, stores, offices that need functional lockers without having to use the usual key. Some of the key points for the locker are:
- Security:
- Voice command
- Back up numeric code
- Access login (can be trough an application)
- Alarm for failed attempts
- Advantages:
- No keys to lose
- No cards
- Usage tracking
- Possible improvements:
- WiFi connection for monitoring
- Mobile app
- Additional fingerprint reader
- Solar panel for backup or continuous use
- Considerations:
- Moisture protection
- Constant electrical power
- Maintenance

- Second project: Color Sorting Robot with Hopper -
The purpose of this project will be to sort small objects with the intention of implementing it in factory quality control, parts separation, educational projects, etc.
- Sorting process:
- 1.-Object falls through the hopper
- 2.-Passes through color sensor
- 3.-Microcontroller identifies color
- 4.-Servo moves the gate
- 5.-Object falls into corresponding container
- 6.-Display updates count
- Controls:
- START/STOP Button
- RESET Button for counters
- Display shows statistics
- LED indicates operation
- Limitations:
- Limited object size
- Speed depends on servo
- Needs good lighting
- 4 - 5 colors maximum
- Objects must be similar in size
- Possible improvements:
- More sensors for greatest precision
- Size classification
- WiFi connection for statistics
- Database interface
