Electrospinning machine
Dissemination Plan
The goal of this project is to enable students and anyone interested to use the electrospinning technique for their own projects. Additionally, we aim for other institutions to build their own machines using this step-by-step guide. This project is largely funded by materials provided by the university, such as MDF, PLA for 3D printing, and some metal rods for the mechanism. However, our objective is to make the production of this device economical, so it is accessible and adaptable for anyone who wants to use it. Personally, I do not plan to commercialize it, but we are close to securing a potential buyer. To achieve this, we need to improve the details of the machine and, if all goes well, promote it at conferences and university events to attract more buyers. Controlling the output voltage of the high-voltage source would make the product extremely attractive, as not all materials require the same amount of voltage to be extruded. In fact, this would allow experimentation with the quality of the fibers, which would generate greater interest in the machine within the scientific community. Therefore, the most suitable license for this project, following my philosophy of “not monopolizing knowledge,” going to be the next:
