About Me
Hi! I am Santiago Cuautle. I am an biomedical engineering student at Iberoamericana Puebla (IBERO) and I participate in a biology lab. I have a deep passion for maths and electronics. Board games is my perfect way to spend time with friends and family. Personally, I cherish the companionship of cats and dogs, their cuddles are one of the most signs of pure love.
Student agreementPrevious work
During my university academic period, I won two awards with my team. The first one was thedevelopment of a pre-prototype of the reservoir transdermal patch membrane using bacterial cellulose for the administration of insulin glargine. The aim was to avoid health consequences from the constant use of syringes. To achieve this, we cultivated, purified, and adapted bacterial cellulose to contain the drug. For this project, we won the first place at Expo IBERO Spring 2023. Furthermore, at Expo IBERO Fall 2023, we developed a prototype for a wearable device that detects obstacles for wheelchair users to help and accompany them in their daily lives. The device alerts them to the presence of obstacles, preventing accidents. We won the second place in the scientific outreach category.
My most important project
The project in which I have been most proud and happy was when I served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Mexico Guadalajara Mission for two years. There is no academic project that surpasses the joy I found in serving and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to people. There, I met many of my closest friends, and I can confidently say that, thanks to this decision, my life is not in vain.
