INTELLIGENT DRAWER THAT OPENS VIA WIFI

The idea of this project arises from a problem we have at the Ibero Puebla University, many freshmans do not know where to find many of the electronic components that we have for activities or projects.

The goal is that my project can be used from my fabacademy page, without the need of an application, because this way everyone will have the possibility to see how it works.

Why did I choose this?

• Make it easier for the user to find objects
• Manage how many and which materials are chosen
• Gradually implement it in my university's warehouses.
• I didn't find something like this on the internet, it will be a very interesting challenge to do.

How do I plan to do it?

I don't really know yet how I will do it in detail, but my priority in this project is not to use one motor per drawer, but to create a mechanism that with only one motor (ideally) can open all the drawers.

The body of the drawers will be made of thick wood, most likely they will be designed in CATIA V5 and I will cut them on the CNC Router and the small drawers will be cut in MDF material on the laser cutter.
