About me

Hi! My name is Fernanda, but you can call me Fer. I’m a senior student of Industrial Design in the Iberoamericana University campus Puebla, but I’m from the beautiful port of Veracruz (you can see in the next picture).

I chose to study Industrial Design because I wanted to create things that make a positive impact and give people a good experience when they use them.

So, I am in the Fac Academy! I have a strong interest in gaining knowledge that I haven't encountered in my seven semesters of studying. After experiencing an existential crisis about my future, I was presented with this amazing opportunity... and here I am!

Previous work

Throughout my studies, I have worked on a variety of projects, including gender inequality, habits, disabilities, and sustainability. But I find designing experiences, emotional design, and design aimed at changing habits particularly interesting. I'm so excited about these topics! They're really important because they require a deeper perspective when approaching problems, which makes them even more significant for the people for whom you design.

Some of my works

My Fist Proyect

During my first semester of graduate school, I designed a fidget toy to improve the quality of life for children with visual impairments who suffer from stress. The fidget can help to control stress levels and provide a distraction. This product is inclusive and has the potential to positively impact a child's life. Furthermore, it can be used as a tool for learning and developing empathy towards others.

Ceramic Teacher

Last year, I had the pleasure of learning about ceramics, a beautiful material with many qualities. I was able to put some of the many techniques I learned into practice. But recently, I had the amazing opportunity to teach a group of people about ceramics. It was an incredible experience that gave me a lot of learning and helped me grow as a person and a professional. Teaching is a powerful tool that undoubtedly generates a very rewarding life experience.

Modeling and rendering

Throughout my degree, I've had the opportunity to learn how to model various types of products using different software programs. I've gained experience in using Inventor, Maya, Rhino 7, Solid Works, and AutoCAD.
