About Me
Hello everyone! I'm Anderson, and I'm excited to be a part of this adventure in the Fab Academy. As for my background, I studied Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and I graduated in 2016. I was born in Huancavelica, a small city in the center of Peru, but I currently live in Lima.
In my professional field, since 2018, I have been working at Owens Illinois where I have the privilege of leading a team of designers in the glass bottles manufacturing sector. Our team focuses on the design of mold equipments and bottles and each project presents a new opportunity for innovation and technical challenges. Managing this team has been an integral part of my professional career over these years.
The glass industry seems quite interesting to me, and it has many areas for development. In the mold design team, we design some of these pieces, each one used to shape the bottle, from the neck to the bottom. For the design of these parts, we use a CAD software called Creo, which is why I have experience in using this program.
I enrolled in the Fab Academy because I want to learn and also update my knowledge regarding new digital fabrication technologies. I believe that the Fab Academy is the perfect place to explore my creativity, enhance my skills, and be a part of a passionate community dedicated to digital manufacturing. I'm confident that we will learn a lot together on this exciting journey.
Outside of work, my greatest passions are road trips and 3D modeling. Traveling allows me to discover new places and cultures, while 3D modeling is an outlet for my creativity. I have created a page called AZ_Models, where I share the articulated and multi-part models I have designed. These hobbies not only provide me with a creative escape but also complement my professional and personal development.
Good luck to everyone!
