My Final Project example

My final project is planned to be a flat-faced, tinted glass front helmet with Leds in the form of my personal design, a blue compass rose. It will have an opening face plate and to put it on you would just slide it down around your head. On the back is a unscrewable pannel that will house the circuits and power source. There are similar helmets to this like the Ironman helment however my design is more block-y and personally stylised.

Research

I for a long time have seen masks and helmets used in fandoms and wanted to make my own. One of my main sources of inspiration and a great example for how I could make my helmet would be the Youtuber Uncle Jessy.

2D and 3D Modeling

2D Design

Using Adobie illistrate I opened the pre-made letter canvus and cut it into four sections using the pen tool with a line width of 2mm. Each of the four sections pertain to a different view, front, back, side, and isometric. I then drew and decumented all four models of the helmet. My documantation can be found here
