About me

Moi!

I’m Essi and I live in Oulu, northern Finland. I’m working at the City of Oulu in a project
whose aim is to support and strengthen digital competence of unemployed job seekers and different communities.
Half of my working time I help people with digital manufacturing in our BusinessAsema Fab Lab.

Something about my background...
I have a Master's degree in Arts (Education), majoring in Crafts.
When I was studying I also had digital manufacturing courses, mostly basics, but it was very interesting!
I visited the Fab Lab for the first time over a year ago and I was very excited about an environment like that.
I am very happy that I now have the opportunity to work with people in the Fab Lab!
In my free time I (surprisingly) enjoy making crafts, but I also spend my time at the gym, in dance classes and in nature.

When I started working in the project about a year ago, we were told about a great opportunity to apply for the Fab Academy.
I think it's going to be a busy spring, but learning new skills is always a joy! Okay, sometimes frustrating, but always worth it!
