About me

Hi! I am Tangyun Mo, a self-driven individual with 5 years of working experience as an architect and an urban planner, among which 3 years working as project manager simultaneously. Familiar with design project management in the whole process. Last year I completed a 10-week data science bootcamp, graduated with solid knowledge of data science. Now I'm a freelancer engaged in STEAM education and here to learn more technology and engineering to enrich my skills.

1 Outdoor Education

Little Architects - Xinchang Ancient Town Outdoor Study

Little Architects is an outdoor study activity developed by me for children aged 9-14. I hope to lead children to understand the construction of ancient Chinese towns and the knowledge of ancient Chinese architecture. The activity is divided into two parts. We walk in the Xinchang ancient town for 3 hours in the morning, to understand the history and urban form of the ancient town, visit the excellent historical buildings on the spot, and discuss the future development of the ancient town. 3 hours in the afternoon to learn the structure of traditional Chinese wooden buildings, and cooperate to build a 1:2 bucket-style building structure, which is a very cool thing for children. Different children can find different areas they are good at in this process, and everyone enjoys this course very much.

2 Urban Design

1) Urban Design of Waterfront Area in Chuzhou, Anhui Province

This project aims to improve the urban functional layout of the area along the Qingliu River in Chuzhou and optimize the landscape of the urban waterfront area. Different themes are planned on both sides of the river: "poetic vacation" for the west bund, and "ecological life" for the east bund.Through the planning of "Qingliu Twelve Squares" to build functional sections integrating culture, vacation, commerce, residence, and office. With multiple business formats, integration of industry and city, and vitality of the waterfront, the urban area where the current population is outflowing will be revitalized.
I am involved in this project as a project manager, working with my lovely colleagues in Tongji Architectural Design Corporation.

2) Planning and Design of Taiyuan Twin Towers Cultural Tourism Area

This project plans to build a historical and cultural park in the east of Taiyuan City, relying on Taiyuan's cultural landmark - the Twin Towers. The construction goals are perceivable historical environment, sustainable urban life, and participatory ecological landscape. The plan aims to reproduces the scene of "Cultural Commercial Street with Ancient Jin Style under the Pagoda Shadow", while combining rural ecology, cultural activities and daily themed consumption.
